జాతీయ రహదారి 6, (ఎన్‌హెచ్ 6) భారతదేశంలోని ప్రాథమిక జాతీయ రహదారి.[1] ఈ రహదారి మేఘాలయ, అస్సాం, మిజోరం రాష్ట్రాల గుండా వెళుతుంది.[2] జాతీయ రహదారులను పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరించడానికి ముందు, ఎన్‌హెచ్-6 పాత జాతీయ రహదారులు 40, 44, 154 & 54 లుగా ఉండేది.[3]

[మార్చు]ఎన్‌హెచ్6 జోరాబాత్, షిల్లాంగ్, జోవాయి, బదర్‌పూర్, పంచగ్రామ్, కొలాసిబ్, కాన్పుయ్, ఐజ్వాల్, సెలింగ్, లుమ్‌టుయ్, ఖౌత్లీర్, టుయిసెన్, నెయిహ్‌డాన్, ఛాంఫైలను కలుపుతూ భారతదేశం/మయన్మార్ సరిహద్దులో జోఖౌతార్ సమీపంలో ముగుస్తుంది.[4][5] 2008 సెప్టెంబరులో, మేఘాలయ లోని సోనాపూర్‌లో సిల్చార్‌కు వాయవ్యంగా నార్పు అభయారణ్యం లోపల 120 మీటర్ల పొడవైన సొరంగం నిర్మించారు. ఇది ఆగ్నేయ మేఘాలయను అస్సాంలోని బరాక్ లోయతో కలుపుతుంది.[6]
