రంజన్ ఘోష్ పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్ చెందిన సినిమా దర్శకుడు, రచయిత.[1]
జననం, విద్య
[మార్చు]రంజన్ ఘోష్ పశ్చిమ బెంగాల్‌లో జన్మించాడు. దుర్గాపూర్ లోని సెయింట్ జేవియర్స్ స్కూల్, బిసి ఇన్స్టిట్యూషన్‌లో చదివాడు. ఆ తర్వాత జాదవ్‌పూర్ యూనివర్సిటీలో ఫిజిక్స్ చదవడానికి కలకత్తా వెళ్ళాడు. ఆ చదువును వదిలేసి ముంబై విశ్వవిద్యాలయం నుండి నాటికల్ సైన్సెస్‌లో చేరి, డిగ్రీని పొందాడు.[2] 2007లో ఫిల్మ్ మేకింగ్ అధ్యయనం చేయడానికి ముంబైకు చెందిన ఫిల్మ్ స్కూల్ విస్లింగ్ వుడ్స్ ఇంటర్నేషనల్‌లో చేరాడు. 2009 లో స్క్రీన్ రైటింగ్‌లో పట్టభద్రుడయ్యాడు.
సినిమారంగం
[మార్చు]ఫిల్మ్ స్కూల్‌లో ఉన్నప్పుడే నేషనల్ ఫిల్మ్ అవార్డు గెలుచుకున్న 2009 అంతహీన్ అనే బెంగాలీ సినిమాకు స్క్రిప్ట్ అసిస్టెంట్‌గా పనిచేశాడు. ఆ తర్వాత అదే సినిమా షూటింగ్‌లో దర్శకుడు అనిరుద్ధ రాయ్ చౌదరికి సహాయం చేశాడు. అపర్ణా సేన్ తీసిన ఇతి మృణాళిని సినిమాకి తొలిసారిగా స్క్రీన్ ప్లే రచయిత పరిచయమై, ప్రశంసలు పొందాడు.[3][4][5]
2014లో అబిర్ ఛటర్జీ, రైమా సేన్ నటించిన హృద్ మఝరే అనే బెంగాలీ సినిమాతో దర్శకుడిగా పరిచయం అయ్యాడు.[6][7] ఆ తరువాత రోంగ్‌బెరోంగర్ కోర్హి సినిమా తీశాడు. ఈ సినిమా దుబాయ్,[8] ఢాకా, లండన్, జాతీయ స్థాయిలో ఢిల్లీ, ముంబై, బెంగళూరు, పూణె,[9] హైదరాబాద్‌లలో జరిగిన చిత్రోత్సవాలలో ప్రదర్శించడానికి ముందు 2018లో విడుదలై విస్తృతంగా ప్రశంసలు పొందిన చిత్రంగా నిలిచింది.[10][11][12]
2019లో అహా రే సినిమా తీశాడు. అంతర్జాతీయ చలనచిత్ర వెబ్ మ్యాగజైన్ ఏషియన్ మూవీ పల్స్ సంకలనం చేసిన 25 ఆల్-టైమ్ గ్రేట్ ఆసియా సినిమాల గౌరవనీయమైన జాబితాలో ఈ సినిమా కూడా చేర్చబడింది.[13][14] [15][16]
2022లో మహిషాసుర్ మర్దిని - ఎ నైట్ టు రిమెంబర్ అనే సినిమాను తీశాడు. ఈ సినిమాను జవహర్‌లాల్ నెహ్రూ యూనివర్శిటీ , జామియా మిలియా ఇస్లామియా యూనివర్సిటీలలో ప్రదర్శించారు.[17][18][19] ఇంతకు ముందు న్యూ ఢిల్లీలోని ఇండియా హాబిటాట్ సెంటర్ నిర్వహించిన 21వ హేబిటాట్ థియేటర్ ఫెస్టివల్ 2022లో నాటకోత్సవంలో ప్రదర్శించబడిన మొదటి భారతీయ సినిమాగా నిలిచింది.[20][21][22]
