జస్టిస్ రంజన్ గొగోయ్ (జ. 1954 నవంబరు 18)[6] భారత సుప్రీంకోర్టు ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తి, రాజ్యసభ సభ్యుడు. భారతదేశంలోని ఈశాన్య ప్ర్రాంతంలో ఈ పదవి చేపట్టిన మొదటి న్యాయమూర్తి.[7]

జీవిత విశేషాలు

ఆయన న్యాయవాద వృత్తి స్వీకరించి బార్ అసోసియేషన్ లో 1978లోనమోదు అయ్యారు. ఆయన గౌహతీ హైకోర్టులో ప్రాక్టీసు చేస్తూ 2001 ఫిబ్రవరి 28 న న్యాయమూర్తి అయ్యారు. ఆయన 2010 సెప్టెంబరు న పంజాబ్, హర్యానా హైకోర్టుకు బదిలీ కాబడ్డారు. తరువాత 2011 ఫిబ్రవరి 12 న ప్రధాన న్యాయమూర్తి అయ్యారు. ఆయన 2012 ఏప్రిల్ 23 న సుప్రీం కోర్టు న్యావమూర్తి పదవిని స్వీకరించారు. ఆయనకు ఏడు సంవత్సరాల పాటు పదవీకాలం ఉంటుంది.[8][9] ఆయన తండ్రి "కేశబ్ చంద్ర గొగోయ్" అస్సాం ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా పనిచేసారు.[10]
