మలికా మరాఠే భారత సంతతికి చెందిన మహిళా టెన్నిస్ క్రీడాకారిణి. 2003లో పుణెలో జన్మించిన ఆమె ఏడేళ్ల వయసులో టెన్నిస్ ఆడటం ప్రారంభించింది.
కెరీర్
[మార్చు]4 సంవత్సరాల వయస్సులో, ఆమె అంబ్లియోపియాతో గుర్తించబడింది, ఈ పరిస్థితిలో లోపభూయిష్ట కంటి యొక్క నరాల అభివృద్ధి మూసివేయబడినందున మెదడు మెరుగైన కంటిని ఇష్టపడుతుంది. ఆమె కుడి కంటిపై ప్యాచ్ ధరించవలసి వచ్చింది, ఇది కోలుకునే వరకు నాలుగు సంవత్సరాలు బలహీనంగా ఉంది.[1]
డేవిస్ కప్ ప్లేయర్ అయిన ఆమె కోచ్ సందీప్ కీర్తనే ఆమె ప్రతిభను గుర్తించాడు.[2] 2013లో అండర్-10 విభాగంలో తొలి స్టేట్ చాంపియన్షిప్ను గెలుచుకుంది. 2015లో అండర్ -12 విభాగంలో జాతీయ చాంపియన్ షిప్ ను గెలుచుకుంది. [3]ఐటీఎఫ్ ఆసియా అండర్-14, అండర్ డెవలప్మెంట్ చాంపియన్షిప్లో భారత్కు ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహించి డబుల్స్లో బంగారు పతకం సాధించింది. 2017లో ఫ్రెంచ్ ఓపెన్ క్వాలిఫయింగ్ టోర్నమెంట్ కు అర్హత సాధించింది.[4][5][6]
