అంబేద్కర్ స్టూడెంట్స్ అసోసియేషన్ అనేది భారతదేశంలోని షెడ్యూల్డ్ కులాలు, షెడ్యూల్డ్ తెగలు, ఇతర వెనుకబడిన తరగతి, మతపరమైన మైనారిటీలు, ఇతర అణగారిన వర్గాల విద్యార్థులకు ప్రాతినిధ్యం వహిస్తున్న ఒక విద్యార్థి సంస్థ.[1][2][3] అంబేద్కర్ స్టూడెంట్స్ అసోసియేషన్ దళితులు, ఇతర అట్టడుగు వర్గాలకు చెందిన విద్యార్థుల దృక్పథం కోసం పనిచేస్తుంది.[4]
చరిత్ర
[మార్చు]అంబేద్కర్ స్టూడెంట్స్ అసోసియేషన్ 1993లో హైదరాబాద్ సెంట్రల్ యూనివర్శిటీలో పిహెచ్.డి. స్కాలర్ రాజశేఖర్ నేతృత్వంలోని దళిత విద్యార్థుల బృందంచే స్థాపించబడింది.[5][6]

[మార్చు]అంబేద్కర్ స్టూడెంట్స్ అసోసియేషన్ హైదరాబాద్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయం,[5] ముంబై విశ్వవిద్యాలయం,[7] పాండిచ్చేరి విశ్వవిద్యాలయం,[8] టాటా ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ సోషల్ సైన్సెస్,[9] సెంట్రల్ యూనివర్శిటీ ఆఫ్ గుజరాత్,[10] సెంట్రల్ యూనివర్సిటీ ఆఫ్ కేరళ,[11] పంజాబ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయాలలో చురుకుగా ఉంది.[12] అంబేద్కర్ స్టూడెంట్స్ అసోసియేషన్ అంబేద్కరిజం,[13][14] నిరసనలపై సాధారణ సెమినార్లు, కార్యక్రమాలను నిర్వహిస్తుంది.[15][16][17] ఇది స్కాలర్‌షిప్‌లు,[18] ఎస్సీ/ఎస్టీ/అంధ విద్యార్థుల ఫీజు సమస్యల కోసం కూడా పనిచేస్తుంది.[19] క్యాంపస్[20] లో రిజర్వేషన్ విధానాన్ని అమలు చేయడానికి, క్యాంపస్‌లో కుల వివక్షకు వ్యతిరేకంగా అంబేద్కర్ స్టూడెంట్స్ అసోసియేషన్ చురుకుగా పనిచేస్తుంది.[21]
